So me and HBSNL meet up for Sushi. Our deal was the winner of the bet would treat the other to dinner and drinks. A few minutes after sitting down I asked her if she actually brought the $100. She pulled out her purse and showed the bills. I pulled mine out and told her I would hold onto them. She didn’t want to give up the money right away but eventually agreed. When the bill came I pulled out the money and paid the tab. From here we carpool to the alley. I thought this chick was maybe gaming me the whole time. I thought maybe she was some crazy ass pro bowler or something. But let’s face it even if she is I still have a very good chance of beating her so I am not worried at all. As we are driving I tell her to turn around and take notice of my ball and shoes. Now she is starting to get freaked out a little. Starting to make up excuses and stuff. Yes she is scared at this point.
I tried to tell her that I was a pretty good bowler before we did this. So we get our lane and start bowling. She wants me to go first. I do and bam strike. She doesn’t think much of it and throws her ball. Well from here I bowl 5 strikes in a row and score some low 200 game to her 80ish game. Yes at this point she wants to renege on the bet. She wants to lower the bet. She wants to do whatever she can so she doesn’t lose her money. Nope sorry you lose. But it’s the best 2 out of three so who knows maybe she can come back. From here there is just no hope of that happening. I suck the next game and only bowl 160x. The last game I threw 9 strikes for a 250. I am entertaining the place with this last game. As I am putting my ball away a guy goes man why are you quitting we are having a good time watching you bowl. She later tells me how every time I would get up to bowl like 10 people would comment on me. Now that is some social proof of some kind. Not that I need it really with her since we have already done the deed but ohh well.
I wish more girls would make stupid bets like this with me. I tried to tell this girl not to make this bet. I gave her the opportunity to back down. She is very competitive though and didn’t want to. I can tell she will be cool to hang with in the future. Now she thinks she can beat me at pool. Hrmm sounds like another $100 coming my way.
The night ends with her back at my place doing things unmentionable. Not a bad evening.
