Have you ever had one of those nights out where nothing clicked? Not a single set opened. You didn’t land one phone number. You just weren’t feeling it. In fact you wish you were home sleeping or snuggling on the couch with a hottie. We have all had nights like these. Unfortunately we have all had multiple nights like these. They suck.

When you have nights like these they make you want to give up. They make you want to just settle down with that so-so girl. Because it is the easy thing to do. Have you ever noticed that about life. Every day we are cornered by these easy choices. Those who achieve great things take the route out of that corner and do the hard thing. I wish I could say I took the path least chosen. The sad truth is I have taken the easy path in most regards my entire life. Part of me this very second just wants to find that so-so girl and call her my girlfriend. Deep down I know I will regret that choice though. So alas I am about to head out again in search of what? The girl who is far from so-so.

As of late I have been very lazy. Even today I didn’t actually get up and do anything until about 3 PM. I stayed the night over at a girl’s house and got home around 11 AM. Then started doing some work but noon rolled around and it was time for a nap. I finally got up around 2 and started putting myself together. Lately I just can’t function very well until the late afternoon creeps up. I really have no idea why this is. It is almost as if I am in some sort of mini depression or something. Aside from the possibility of a depression I know part of it is this stupid house I am remodeling. I just dread having to go over there and do any work on it.

Last year I started off working for 6 months non stop. I mean seriously I highly doubt I even took 5 days off during that time. And these were 10-12 hour days working my ass off. Since then I have subbed out almost all of the work on the rehabs I have done. This has really made me a lazy person when it comes to having to do rehab work. On my personal house though I have done almost every single bit of the work. And it has been the most labor intensive project to date. I have removed so much stuff from this house I’ve filled up Eight 30 yard dumpsters. If you don’t know how big that dumpster is it is very large. The tonnage has been probably close to 60 tons. That is just ridiculous.

So anyways I make myself go over there today and get some work done. I am at the stage right before you texture. A couple days ago I go up to the upstairs bathroom and rip the toilet out. When I get it out I notice the subfloor has rotted out. Great just another extra expense. But what really sucks is I have no choice but to rip the vanity out as well. A subfloor is maybe $40 but a vanity could easily cost upwards of $500. Awesome. So I rip that out and spend about a day making this room ready for texture.

Then today I go into the downstairs bathroom and just say you know what. This is the only bathroom I haven’t gutted now so guess what. Yep this room is going to be gutted as well. It just wouldn’t make sense to have one room in the entire house that wasn’t gutted. So I start messing with tearing everything out of here which leads to about 5 hours of work and I am not even done prepping the walls. I probably have another 5 hours of work tomorrow since I have quite a bit of tape and bed work.

In the middle of all of this though I got some serious thinking in. My friend always questions how I can work without a radio. It is because I want to sit there and contemplate stuff all day long in my head. I want to be one with my thoughts. And today was perfect for that. I mean not a single noise could be heard.

What really had my mind’s attention today was why am I so good when I am tipsy? On Saturday night I remember Lion comparing me to Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hide. Making some comment about how I am so much better when I am drunk. I know it is the truth I just really hate that it is. I can’t remember exactly what he called me but it was something similar to that. I really want to change this fact. I want to be badass when I am sober.

So the first thing I thought of was tipsy me is very FRIENDLY and OUTGOING. What this means is I don’t necessarily discriminate on who I talk to. I will give you a perfect example. I remember back ohh I don’t know maybe January 4th of this year. I was at Finn and I was having a pretty good night. I was definitely being super social. Well this 8 group of girls is near me and they are having a bachlorette party. I walk right up to them and open the girl getting married. I stole her tiara and put it on. About half of the group was totally into me at this point. The other half in the back could see everything going on as well. Now nothing happened with anyone in this group but guess what happens next. A blonde who could clearly see this entire interaction going on proximities me. When I am done with the group I immediately open her and eventually close her.

The next thing I realized was that tipsy me pays absolutely no attention to the OUTCOME. I will explain this just incase you have no idea what I mean. If you are not reliant on what the outcome may be you typically will do better. Your demeanor just works better for you. Now of course there should always be the intention of closing in some manner. But if you know that you have no worries if nothing comes of the set then you win. Sober me would look at a 2 set of hotties and think all sorts of crazy thoughts. For example I might say to myself well I really don’t want to open them because I come here a lot and I might see them again. Or I might think man I don’t know I’m just not feeling it and I don’t think I can get them. Yeah I think retarded shit like that when I am sober. It is hard to do but remember you are the mother fucking prize. You are the most badass person on the planet. These girls are nothing. If you can internalize that statement right there you are already at least 7.23432% better at this game.

I really need to bring either a recorder with me or start jotting down notes. I think about stuff all day while I’m working and driving. I know I had other things to mention about sober vs. tipsy me. Some day I need to just write out an entire post comparing the two instead of breaking them down in different posts. Ohh well for now this is it. I know there are other things that differ and when I remember them I will surely write about them.

So I finally decided to make a myspace. Everyone has been telling me to do this lately and I figured you know what I am going to give it a try. So I talk my brother into helping me out. I have no idea how to figure all this crap out and I want a badass looking page. I mean if I am going to do it I might as well do it right. At some point I go to a buddy’s page and am scrolling down his comments. Bam I guess he talks to my ex and there is a post from her. She looks fucking amazing. I have made it a point not to look at her at all in the last 3 or more months. When we first broke up for like the first week I would look at her myspace page all the time. I finally got myself out of that trance and went cold turkey. Let me tell you that really helped my mentality when I did that.

It just sucks that I had to see her. She is in cosmetology so she is always messing with her hair. I am super conservative and she was out there. So she would always do crazy shit with her hair and all sorts of odd colors. It is so strange but I really like when a girl does that. So I am scrolling down his posts trying to find friends of mine when bam there she is. And she has done a Mohawk to her hair. Now you would think this would look weird but she is just smoking hot in this picture. I swear this girl could easily be a print model.

So I am sitting there looking at her picture. Telling myself go ahead click on her picture and go over to her myspace page. Part of me is saying look you are strong enough go ahead. I chicken out. But later in the night when I get home I see the pic again because I was trying to find another friend. I decide you know what don’t be a puss just click on it. I do and spend about 2 seconds at her page. See some old friends on her friends list and check them out. I am sitting here trying to figure out what is going on in my head.

As crazy as it is part of me is wanting to send her an email. The other part of me is saying dude don’t be a fucking dumbass. You don’t need that in your life. I can’t believe it has been 4 months and I am clearly still a little messed up over this. Yeah I could have definitely done without seeing that picture today. Fuck.

Over the last month or so I have been asked the question if I would ever go back with her if given the chance. I really couldn’t give a straight answer. My brain thinks about super fucked up stuff. I mean there is a .001% chance she hasn’t slept with other guys since the break up. This fact alone would mess with me a little. I mean I know it sounds hypocritical and all but I am fucked in the head. Just the thought of her fucking other dudes would mess with me. That is one thing I really like about us breaking up though. I am so much better of a person since the break up. I can let shit like that slip my mind these days much better than in the past. All the girls I have been with this year it makes no difference to me how many guys they have been with. Now that is probably because I don’t like any of them as serious girlfriends. I am not sure yet. It will be interesting to eventually have a girlfriend again and see if I question this. I have a feeling though my mindset is much better in this regard.

It is so weird how your life can turn in an instant. I mean if she didn’t break up with me we would still be together. That is such a hard thought to comprehend. I mean I look back on what I have done in the last 4 months and it is almost mind blowing. Just the difference of a life I have lead. It is almost as if I was reincarnated as a different person when we broke up. I am literally a different person and I think for the most part a better person.

I wrote the above about 30 hours ago. Fast forward to right now. I just got done fucking a girl. She ended up leaving and I open up my computer. I load myspace and bam there is a message from my EX. Holy shit I have had a myspace for maybe 48 hours and already got a message from her? That is just weird.

I had a buddy over here and I instantly start talking to him about this. He is giving me advice and as gay as it sounds I am a little shaky over this. I mean how the fuck did she find me already? Was she randomly looking for me? Was she checking out some of my friends pages and sees that I am now on their friends list? It is just so random and odd. Of course a billion questions are racing through my head. Should I respond? When should I respond? How should I respond? What should I write?

Life never ceases to amaze me. This is so freaking random and it is fucking with me big time mentally right now. I think the absolute best thing I can do is to at least ignore it for the next 24 hours. I was told she can tell when I read her message so this should fuck with her a little. I really believe she wants me to message her. I think I should message her back. I know deep down I don’t want to start a relationship with her again. At least not right now in my life. It wouldn’t work out. I would like to start something with her though. I mean I would love to have her come over and get naked. We have had absolutely zero correspondence in the last 4 months. I mean nada, zilch, none, nil.

I am lying on my couch wanting to sleep when my phone starts blowing up. Everyone and their dog is wanting to know what the deal for tonight is. Well there goes my nap idea. Who needs sleep anyways? So we start figuring out what the deal is when a hottie Latino calls me seeing what I will be doing tonight. This is the girl that basically closed me Monday night.

I didn’t initiate text with her until Thursday. Here is our dialog.

PC: Hey Crazy
HB: Who is this
PC: Haha how many guys did you hit on Monday night?
HB: Hey just you what r u doing tonight?
PC: Me and some friends are going out. Not sure if we are going to Addison or Uptown. What about you?
HB: Hanging with one of my girlfriends dunno what well do. Call me n let me know what you doing maybe we should meet.
PC: Alright I will call you in a little while.

I do end up calling her and I leave a VM. She later told me she didn’t go out at all because her friend blew her off. That is why she didn’t answer.

So anyways now it’s Saturday and I haven’t tried to talk to her at all. She calls me out of the blue and wants to possibly meet up. She then goes on saying how she has to get up early and such for Easter. So far this girl seems a little odd but ohh well. She is smoking hot so I will take the weirdness.

When I get off the phone with her another Latino girl texts me wanting to know what the plans for tonight are. This is a girl from Mexico with a thick accent. She is much taller than what I like but she is pretty good looking. I let her know where I will be later and leave it at that. I have barely talked to this girl at all since number closing her a couple weeks ago. I have been extremely passive on initiating contact with these number closes. Chalk it up to laziness I suppose. Thank goodness they have been more aggressive lately. I am almost wondering if this is a sign of how I should start being. I doubt it but who knows.

So we head out and are going to check out Martini Ranch as a starting point. We pull up and this place is just dead. We don’t even get out to go inside. You can just tell by the parking lot. It is so weird that this place is hopping on Monday and not Saturday. I guess it’s the fact the drinks are only $3 on Monday. We leave here and roll past Republic. Whoah this place is dead as well. What is going on it is Saturday night and it is beautiful outside. Fine lets go over to Loon even know we have never had much success there. At least the drinks are crazy strong. We go in and I let my wings know we are going to stand at a different corner of the bar this night. I have noticed it is much more active then where we usually stand. Sure enough this proves to be a smart decision.

In addition to this being a much better location the Loon is just much better tonight. There is actually quite a bit of potential in here. By far the best I have ever seen the place. So we are standing around making chit chat with each other. Talking about how when one of us wings a set we should span our arms and fly into the set. How funny that would be. I know there is agreement that this will happen but it never does. Too Bad. So a couple decent looking girls walk by and post up a few feet from us. Now I wasn’t sure by the time we left but I am pretty certain these girls wanted to be opened. They eventually were either by some friends of theirs or random guys. If you see a two set of girls talking to each other open them. 95% of the time they want you to. They can talk and drink with each other at home if that is their goal.

As we are standing there I notice a 3 set walk through the door. From afar they look decent. They eventually make their way over to us after posting up on the other side of the bar for 30 minutes. Yeah they want to be opened and thank goodness we do. Lion starts talking to two of them and I wing the other. It turns out they are sisters. Two of them being twins. I thought the set was going well until I spot one of the twins kind of standing around by herself. I knew this would more than likely blow the set and I have a feeling it eventually did. I will be the first to admit I didn’t make one attempt to reel her in. Lion tried his best and it seemed like he was doing well. When I was gaming this girl I thought it was going extremely well and then I guess we ran out of things to say. Somehow winning the lottery came up and I just ran with it. She said she would buy a plane. I then immediately started talking about the two of us flying all over the world. She didn’t want to go to Japan but I made her agree. That is one thing I used to do when I would run a set so I am really happy this happened. I would say you and me on a road trip where are we going? It makes her picture the two of you together. I think this really helps a set go well. At some point the set just diminishes and they go away.

Before this set opened there was a 4 set behind us. It was of a weird consistency. Two of the girls were sitting down while another girl and guy were standing up. They were together but in a loose sense of the word. I can’t remember if I opened them with something but then all the sudden they wanted me to take a pic of them. Of course I will be a super nice guy and do that for you. But hey you guys have to smile and say cheese. Bam I turned the camera around and there was Lion just waiting for me to take the picture of us. It was a hella good picture too. Then they say no for real. Alright sure let me do that. I lower the camera and take a picture of about half their faces and mainly their breasts. Then they hand the camera to Lion and he does the exact same picture. The girls for sure liked us now even if they didn’t want to admit it. Then at some later point a guy walks up and hits on these girls. He was complimenting them on something. I look over at the blonde and give her this look like he is hot what is your problem. I then say that out loud and give her shit for blowing him off. I say hey he was hot I will totally hook you up with him. She isn’t having any of it and says they are lesbians. Then the other girl chimes in and says we have group sex together. I don’t blow myself out here by saying that is badass. I turn to the guy of the group and say that is cool that you get in on that. He goes no way I don’t. I then turn to the two girls and say hey that is cool that you guys are lesbians. I didn’t realize it. The hottie blond then immediately goes we aren’t really lesbians. After this their food comes and I give them shit about being pigs and eating at the bar. I turn around and start talking to my wings.

About 30 minutes goes by and I let my wings know they will be going to Republic with us. I turn to the girls and let them know where we are headed and they should come. They sort of blow me off. I then turn to the other two of the group and let them know the same. We head out and make our way to Republic.

As Lion and I are walking out we see two girls in a car hollering or acting weird. I look at them and just with my look fuck with them. We start walking over to our car and they go by saying shit and we throw our hands up like hey stop. They go about 20 feet bust a U and head right back. We start gaming them and tell them to follow us over to Republic. They don’t think it is any good on Saturday but decide to follow us anyways. We pull up and there are 3 rather large Latino girls. I just feel good tonight and decide to open them anyways. Lion and I run some funny game on them but eject when the girls show up. We start walking inside and the girl goes to me you don’t remember me do you. Umm no should I? I really need to start using the line we didn’t have sex did we? Well then I look at her she says some stuff and I remember her. These are the girls I fucked with about doing lines of coke in the bathroom. We head out to the patio and things are going decent when one of the girls decides she wants a shot. I tried to get her to buy us one but for some reason she wasn’t in it. Lion and I got bored real quick with these two and basically blew them off. I later saw one of them and she was saying all sorts of shit to me. Blah Blah Blah.

Then P4nzer and JP show up and we start chatting when JP goes hey there is that set from Loon. Alright you pretty much know if girls follow you from a different venue they are into at least one of the group members. This is badass because I thought both of them were cute and they both had pretty hot bodies. Then all the sudden a girl walks by me and goes hey I know you. You’re the guy who took us up to the W hotel new years eve. Hahhahahahhahahah I just thought this was hilarious. She goes on to say I have no idea why we left. She says how she has pictures of me and she wants my myspace so she can send them to me. I don’t have a myspace. But hey I left my phone at my house so you will have to get my number later. She agrees and rolls off.

Lion and I make our way over to the girls from Loon. He says he is ok with the blonde(who wouldn’t be she was hot for a blonde) and I took the brunette. We roll up and things seem to be going well. Then Lion stands up and goes hey I think this blonde is into you. I ask why and he says well she keeps asking about you and wanting to know your name. Fine let’s switch man I have no problem with that. So the blonde comes over to me and he takes the brunette. We start talking then 5 minutes later we switch again WTF. I was a little tipsy so I don’t know how that happened. Maybe I ran horrible game on the blonde and she wasn’t into me anymore. I have no clue. Then I proceed to fuck this set up. I start running the most badass game on this brunette. I mean she is kinoing and then starts kinoing by hitting me. The kind of hit that says yeah I am into you. She ejects to go the bathroom and I am still under the impression that the blonde is into me. She is standing by herself at this point I guess Lion gave up or something not sure about that. I start trying to reverse number close her since I didn’t have my phone. She is not buying it at all. I mean she is seriously throwing major objections to this idea. Fine I see the girl from NYE so fuck off. In hindsight I should have stuck around and gamed the brunette some more but you just don’t think clearly when you are tipsy. Just another lesson learned.

I walk up to the NYE girl and things just click. She isn’t very good looking I would give her a HB6 rating. She has a decent body but the looks just aren’t there. I open the guy of the group on his boots. They were pretty badass I will give him that. He had good style. Her friends quickly eject and we start hitting it off. I Kclose her pretty quick. After a while we head outside to meet up with her friends. As we were walking out I think I blow her off and hang with my wings. I then see another wing come in Fenix and start letting him know how badass his shirt was. Then all the sudden I see HBMexico standing there. So yeah she came here clearly in the hopes that I would be here after all. She is talking to some guy. I walk right up to her grab her hand and pull her over. I have no idea who the guy was but he was blown right out. HBMexico and I start talking for the next 30 minutes or so. She keeps doing this thing with her tongue. She will stick it out to the side of her mouth. I don’t really like it and I neg her big time on it. Things are going very well and I set up a Day2 with her for Tuesday. My wings are standing right near me the whole time and I can tell they are bored. I decide to eject with her and say goodnight.

I see HBNYE standing about two tables over and tell them I will be hitting her up before I leave. Ohh earlier she took my number and called my phone in front of me. I didn’t have it with me so she let me know the first 3 of her number. I walk up and go for a logistics play. She has no interest in hanging out so I eject pretty quick from her. It is closing time anyways pretty much everyone is leaving.

I get home and she has texted me: What up Playa? We go back and forth for about 20 texts. I just run major cocky funny on her over text. She is eating it up. It is late and we both decide to call it a night.

I�m really starting to get the whole ohh I know you from blah blah. I like this. I want to turn the coke girls into friends. And when I mean friends I mean FRIENDS as in no play whatsoever. I know these are party girls and they probably go out a lot. I could see that benefiting my game in the long run. I will number close one of them next time I see them. For now I still don’t even know their names. I never ask a girl her name.

Overall I had a good night. I still am hashing out the set that I fucked up. It’s weird how I call it a good night when I fucked up a new set. I mean all the other girls were girls I partially knew. It is almost as if they don’t count. I know if I played that set correctly there was at least a 60% chance that could have turned into a SNL. It had the feeling written all over it. That is one of the nice things of having a solid routine stack. I don’t have one. I don’t have anything even close. I mainly just run cocky/funny and wing it. I have a feeling if I got a stack things could go much differently in the future. Maybe have a couple different stacks. They could start out the same if need be but one might take a sexual frame if you are going for a SNL. Just another beautiful aspect of this game.

I have been thinking about the differences between sober me and tipsy me. If you have read anything I have written you know my game is 100 times better when I am tipsy. The first thing I have come upon being a huge difference is being BOLD. When I am tipsy I have zero fear, zero doubt, I don’t think I just react without delay.

I remember back when I first started going out when I became newly single. I had just a very minor amount of knowledge back then on PU. One thing I certainly lacked was the art of holding eye contact. I was making my way around the center bar at Carson’s. I noticed this super hot Latino girl. She had a sparkely form fitting dress on and just looked amazing. She looks up at me as I am walking by with these huge puppy dog eyes. I held eye contact for maybe 2 seconds and looked away like a little bitch and kept walking. She gave me an AI and I screwed up. Do you know why? Because I was scared. I wasn’t prepared. Now I would walk right up to her and neg her instantly if I am given eye contact like that. I later gave her proximity for a long time trying to build up enough courage to open her. The courage never came and what turned into countless possibilities with her turned into nothing. And even if I did build up the confidence to approach it was almost pointless by this point. Women know when you are hanging around trying to approach them. They think very little of you by this point.

Fast forward to about a month ago. I definitely had my quota of enough alcohol where I was now Bold. I had absolutely zero timidness in my body. I see two hotties standing at the bar. I am at point A and they are at point B. I don’t go to point c, I don’t stand around, and I make my way over to point B without hesitation and open these ladies. And guess what happens they open me right back. I then proceed to Kclose and a #close.

Women of all people can smell fear. If you are timid at all on your approach they will view you as weak. Even if your game is weak they will have much more respect for you since you went right up to them without fear. Now I know this is harder said then done. You bet it is. You want to have time to think of an opener. Then how are you going to transition. Wait you want a neg so let’s examine her outfit and figure that out beforehand. Remove all of that from your brain. Go in with zero thought and just approach. You’re a very smart individual. You will react on your feet and the set will go well. Even if it doesn’t know that you very well might have mastered the hardest part of the sarge.
